The once multi millionaire & internet gaming payment processing mogul, Daniel Tzvetkoff, was granted bail by District Court Judge Peggy A Leen in Las Vegas last week. However, a US Federal judge has since rescinded the bail and has ordered Tzvetkoff to remain behind bars.

An associate of boxing sensation Floyd Mayweather Jr., was indicted last week for shooting a man who argued with the champion boxer at an ice skating rink. Mr. Ocie Harris has been ordered by a judge to appear in a Las Vegas court on May 4th. Mr. Harris is to be arraigned for a six-count felony indictment charging him with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed firearm and discharging a weapon into a vehicle.

A Las Vegas bail bondsman, who was approaching a bail bond client was shot at. The suspected gunman shot at the Las Vegas bail bondsman as he approached the suspect's car. The bail bondsman returned fire, but nobody was hurt. After which the suspect fled the area. The suspected gunman was arrested by policy a few hours later at a Las Vegas area residence. This incident only underscores the dangers involved in the Las Vegas bail bonds business.

In a stunning suprise, Daniel Tzvetkoff was granted bail in Las Vegas. The Australian internet gambling payment processing tycoon was expected by many to have bail denied due to his lack of ties in the US and substantial amount of money. Both of which could make him a flight risk.

Daniel Tzvetkoff was arrested earlier this month in Las Vegas on a number of charges stemming from his online gambling payment processing business. Tzvetkoff, who is from Australia, was arrested on April 16th for laundering $500 million in illegal online gambling transactions.

A former bail bondsman was hired by the Austin Polic Union as a consultant, but got more than he bargained for. According to the Union's leader Sergeant Wayne Vincent, Charles Kent Olson was hired to advise on "political and legal matters and to help in fundraising efforts for the union's charity."

The bail bonds industry doesn't have the greatest reputation. Although, the bail bondsman has a legitimate place in the criminal justice system, many see them as merely people who deal with "criminals" for money.


The bail bonds industry is now under siege from the governments of 2 states. Gaining popular support is tough enough, but having to battle the state and local government for the long term health and survival of the bail bonds industry is another.
